Massimo Scaglioni is Full Professor of Media Economics and History at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan. He is also the co-Founder and current Director of Ce.R.T.A. (Research Center for Television and Audiovisual Media at Università Cattolica). He is the Director of the Post-graduate Master Course “Fare TV. Broadcasting and Streaming Services Management” at Università Cattolica. He is also Adjunct Professor of Transmedia Narratives (MA) and Television Communication (BA) at Università della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano, Switzerland). He has been Visiting or Invited Professor in several international Universities, including Carleton University, Ottawa (Canada), with a grant from Centre for European Studies – European Union Centre for Excellence (in 2012), University of Nottingham (2015), Capital Normal University Beijing, Hong Kong Baptist University, Shangai Theater Academy (2016). He has been Principal Investigator of the three-years research project “CinCit. International Circulation of Italian Cinema” (International Circulation of Italian Cinema”), funded by MIUR – Italian Minister of University and Research. He’s currently member of the International Research Project “Global Media and Internet Concentration” (funded by SSHRC, Canada) and Cooperation Partner of the “Public Service Media in the Age of Platforms” (funded by CHANSE). His recent works include “A European Television Fiction Renaissance: Premium Production Models and Transnational Circulation” published by Routledge in 2021 (co-edited with Luca Barra) and “TV Yearbook” 2021.
