Postdoctoral Researcher, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
Antonio Nucci is a researcher at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, working with the PSM-AP project since November 2023. He is pursuing a doctorate at the Institute of Media and Journalism (IMeG) of the Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, Switzerland on climate change communication, activism and media representation of environmental issues. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Communication Sciences and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Media Management from the Università della Svizzera italiana. Before studying climate change communication, Nucci focused on Over-the-Top (OTT) media platforms and business strategies to engage film and television audiences, writing both his bachelor’s and master’s theses on OTT audience and SVOD’s investment strategies.In 2022, during his PhD, he was a Visiting Research Scholar at the Center for Experimental Ethnography of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA.In 2014, during his bachelor’s degree, he participated in the ToChina Business Program, a course organized by the University of Turin and ESCP, spending two months studying Business in the Chinese context at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, P.R.C.For the M.Sc. in Media Management at Università della Svizzera italiana he lectures on game theory applied to sustainability (The Platform Society), The Climate Crisis (Reputation and Crisis in Media Companies), Nature documentary (Global Media Formats). He lectured at LUISS, Rome, Italy, in 2021 and Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2021.Nucci is a member of STSN (Ticino Society of Natural Sciences) and SAGUF (Swiss Academic Society for Environmental Research and Ecology).
